Clay Classes
30135 Woodlawn Dr. Burlington, WI.
Join the "village people" for ceramic lessons at Woodlawn Pottery Studio by instructor, Kathy Kerner. No previous clay experience is needed, but an openness to learn and a desire to play in clay.
Her studio is on the east side of Browns Lake, and on a quiet, country road. The privacy of being on a dead end road allows outdoor, raku firing and post fire reduction for saggar and barrel firing.
But most of our firing is done in an electric kiln at cone 6 stoneware temperatures with food safe glazes.

Before forming clay I rarely have a plan , but I just start with a form and listen to what the clay tells me. The faces usually end up being very old, primitive souls. I feel the connection to each one. |
